Latin name: Tricholoma pessundatum.

Family: Ordinary (Tricholoma).

Leg: 3-6 cm tall and up to 2 cm thick, cylindrical, slightly expanded downward, smooth, fibrous, sometimes hollow. In the upper part, a pale light zone is clearly visible, which becomes brown to the lower part of the leg.

Pulp: most often white, sometimes there is a light brown shade. The taste and smell are powdery, but not pronounced, slightly bitter.

Records: frequent, adherent to the pedicle or notched. Whitish at a young age and yellowish in older specimens. In addition to the main records, the spotted rowfish also has multiple records.

Similarities and differences: this type of fruiting body can be confused with the row of poplar - an edible type of mushroom. The latter is characterized by a smooth surface of the cap, which also has the correct shape. In addition, poplar poplar almost never occurs in deciduous and coniferous forests.

Spread: grows in groups in mixed as well as coniferous forests throughout Europe and Central America. The fruiting period from September to October, sometimes captures November, if the weather is favorable.

Leg: high, can reach 20 cm, thick - up to 2.5 cm, slightly widened, often tilted, dropping close to the ground, although it is firmly held at the root. The upper part of the mushroom leg is shoddy shod in white, then comes the ring-skirt. Below the ring, the leg is colored brown with white spots appearing.

Pulp: white, dense, has a slight smell of cinnamon.

Records: light, frequent, attached to the leg. Young specimens have a protective film under which the plates are hidden.

Application: has good taste, is appreciated in Japanese, Chinese and Korean cuisine. After the heat treatment, a pleasant sweet aftertaste remains. It is fried, boiled, pickled, and also salted. The composition of the matsutake row contains a special antibiotic that has an antitumor property.

Edibility: edible mushroom, although little known, but great for various processing methods.

Spread: territory of Eastern and Western Europe, Canada, USA, Japan, China and Korea. In Russia, shod Ryadovka is found mainly in Eastern Siberia, the Urals, and also in the Primorsky and Khabarovsk Territories. The mushroom grows in large colonies, forming the so-called "witch circles". The peduncle sits deep in the soil, hiding under a layer of needles and fallen leaves. It prefers pine and pine-oak forests, bears fruit all fall. The fungus tolerates small frosts well, and under favorable conditions, its collection continues even in the month of November.
