Ryadovka white-brown: photo and description of the mushroom

Ridovac are not considered the most popular among mushroom pickers, because many are afraid to pick such bright mushrooms so as not to stumble on false counterparts. Although the ordinary family lives in any forests throughout Russia, the main thing is to distinguish between edible species and inedible species.

In this article we will talk about a white-brown row or a row of white-brown. This mushroom is commonly found in pine forests near oils. Perhaps that is why in rainy weather inexperienced mushroom pickers mix up rowing with oils. The question arises: edible rowing is white-brown or not?
Some mycologists consider white-brown mushrooms to be inedible, others are sure that this is a conditionally edible species, but they must be boiled for at least 40 minutes before use.
We offer a description and photo of a row of white-brown so that you can recognize this mushroom among other rows.

Description of the order of white-brown (tricholoma albobrunneum) or white-brown

Latin name: Tricholoma albobrunneum.
Family: Ordinary.

Synonyms: brown row, white-brown row, sweetie.

Hat: diameter from 4 to 10 cm, with a wrapped edge. In the proposed photo of the white-brown rowing, you can see the shape of the hat: at a young age it is hemispherical, then it becomes convex-spread with a tubercle in the middle. The surface is fibrous, cracking over time, forming the appearance of flakes. Color varies from brown with a reddish tint to chestnut brown.

Leg: height from 3 to 8 cm, rarely up to 10 cm, diameter from 0.6 to 2 cm. The surface is smooth, longitudinally fibrous at the bottom, the outer fibers create the appearance of flakes. The color at the point of attachment of the plates to the leg is white, then goes brown. The leg of the white-brown rowing mushroom at a young age has a cylindrical shape, in mature - it tapers to the base and becomes hollow.

Pulp: white with a brown tint, dense, odorless, has a slight bitterness. Some sources say that the mushroom has a powdery smell.

Plates: pronged, frequent, white, with noticeable small reddish spots.

Edibility: Tricholoma albobrunneum is a brown-and-white ranked edible mushroom, however, in some scientific sources, it is classified as conditionally edible species.

In this case, pre-heat treatment is used for 30-40 minutes to remove the bitterness.

Similarities and differences: the white-brown row is similar to the row of fibrous-scaly, but the latter is distinguished by a thorough scaly hat, dullness and lack of stickiness in rainy weather.

The mushroom also has a resemblance to a row of yellow-brown. However, the leg of the yellow-brown “sister” has a ring of thin film on, as well as a feeling of mucousness under the hat and a bitter taste.

Spotted rowfish is another species that resembles a white-brown row row. This is a slightly poisonous mushroom, characterized by the presence of dark spots on the surface of the cap, which are located at the edges in circles or radially. This fungus lacks a tubercle in the center, the asymmetric curvature of the caps in old specimens is strongly pronounced, and the flesh has a bitter taste.

Spread: rowan white-brown or rowan white-brown begins bearing fruit in the month of August and lasts almost until the end of October. Prefers pine or coniferous forests, less common in mixed forests. It grows in small groups, forming rows, less commonly found in single copies. It is found throughout Russia and Europe in coniferous forests and pine forests.
