Hat (diameter 4-12 cm): can be not only gray, but also with shades of purple or pink. In young mushrooms it is convex, then it becomes funnel-shaped. The edges are uneven and bent to the inside.
Leg (height 4-10 cm): the same color as the hat, or slightly darker, cylindrical in shape. Young mushrooms are very dense, and old mushrooms are hollow.
Records: usually tightly attached to the leg. They have a yellowish or pale gray tint.
Pulp: very dense, white in color, with a very pleasant fruity aroma.
Doubles: are absent.
Application in traditional medicine: not applicable.
Serushka mushroom grows from mid-June to early September in temperate countries of the Eurasian continent.
Other names: seruga, plantain, undergrowth, seryanka, gray lactarius, gray hollow, gray-gray lactarius, traveler.
Where can I find: Serushka is often found in mixed forests, especially in the neighborhood of birch and aspen. It can grow in clearings or forest edges.
Eating: usually salted after pre-soaking.
