Golden mushroom flake: photo and description

Category: edible.

Hat Pholiota adiposa (diameter 5-16 cm): bright yellow, may be with a greenish tint. Has noticeable scales. Hemispherical or flat, with the edges bent to the inside, often with the remains of the bedspread. Very dense, in wet weather it becomes sticky and sticky.

Leg (height 6-11 cm): brown, yellow, brownish or rusty. Dense, curved, cylindrical in shape.

If you carefully look at the photo of golden scales at a young age, then on its leg you can see the ring. As the fungus grows, this ring disappears.

Records: frequent and wide. In young mushrooms, yellow, they become brown with age and acquire an olive hue.

Pulp: white or slightly yellow, dense and thick.

Doubles: are absent.

When growing: from mid-August to early October.

Where can I find: on dead or decaying hardwood, on diseased trees.

Hat of the boron flake (Pholiota spumosa) (diameter 3-10 cm): usually yellow, golden, orange or brown, often with remnants of the bedspread. The young mushroom is hemispherical, but over time it becomes more prostrate and only slightly convex. The edges are wavy and uneven. It’s slightly sticky to the touch.

Leg (height 4-9 cm): yellow, reddish or rusty, cylindrical. Usually straight, but may be slightly curved. Inside is always hollow.

Records: frequent, change color from yellow to brown or richly rusty as the fungus grows.

Pulp: yellow, darker at the base of the leg. It does not have a pronounced aroma.

Mushroom double Boron flake - honey agaric (Kuehneromyces mutabilis). It differs in the place of growth and color of the plates.

When growing: from mid-August to early October.

Where can I find: on the soils of pine forests, on roots and rotten

Eating: in any form, except dried.
