Mushrooms meadow mushrooms: photo and description

Meadow mushrooms (Marasmius oreades) often called negniuchniki, marasmius, grassland or clove mushrooms. After adding water to the dried mushrooms, they come to life again and can produce spores. Many mushroom pickers had observed the picture when, after rain, dry mushrooms again “came to life” and continued bearing fruit.

Below you can see photos and descriptions of meadow mushrooms, find out how they look and when to pick these mushrooms.

How mushrooms look like mushrooms

Category: edible.

Hat (diameter 3-9 cm) ocher, red-brown or yellowish. In dry weather, the mushroom cap mushroom meadow fades to light brown or cream color, in wet becomes sticky and sticky. It has the shape of a hemisphere with a small central tubercle, which over time changes to a little convex or almost open. The edges are uneven and ribbed, almost transparent, paler than the center.

Records: ocher or light cream. In young mushrooms they grow densely to the stem, in old ones, on the contrary, they are free.

Pulp: thin, white or yellowish in color, which does not change when cut and interacted with air. The aroma resembles the smell of bitter almonds or cloves.

Mushroom doubles meadow honey agaric: young poisonous whitish talker (Clitocybe dealbata) and forest-loving colibia (Collybia dryophila). But the talkers do not have a tubercle on the hat and the smell of flesh is powdery. And the collibia has very frequent records and an extremely unpleasant smell.
