Ryadovka lilac: photo, description, distribution

Ordinary lilac is an edible mushroom of category 4, which has an unusual "fairy-tale" color, which distinguishes it from all kinds of poisonous and inedible representatives. Thanks to this color, the fruiting body is quite easy to recognize. Although this type of mushroom is considered poorly popular, it still has good taste. Ordinary lilac also has other names, the most common of which are violet or titmouse.

We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the description of the purple dressing and the presented photos.

Description of Edible Purple Rowing

Latin name: Lepista nuda.

Family: Ordinary.

Synonyms: the row is violet, the lepist is naked, the lepist is purple, titmouse, cyanosis.

Hat: large, 5-15 cm in diameter, some specimens can reach 20 cm. Fleshy, dense, elastic, convex or hemispherical at a young age. As it matures, the hat opens and becomes flat or depressed, keeping the edges bent down.

In young individuals, the color of the hat is pronounced - purple, pale lilac or even brown, sometimes with a brown or watery hue.
Over time, the color becomes faded, brightening more towards the edges. The surface of the hat is smooth, shiny, moist, in dry weather it becomes dry and lighter.

Leg: up to 10 cm tall and up to 3 cm thick, cylindrical, rarely club-shaped, with a thickening at the base. The structure is dense, with age it becomes hollow; the surface is smooth, fibrous. Immediately under the hat, the leg is covered with a flaky coating or slight pubescence. The color is bright purple, fades with age, becoming brownish or pale lilac.

Pulp: thick, dense, fleshy, with aging acquires a softer consistency. The photo shows that the purple row at the cut has a light purple hue, while in older specimens the color of the pulp becomes crimson and cream. The taste and aroma are pleasant, reminiscent of the smell of anise.

Records: thin, frequent, loose, first light purple, then light purple.

Edibility: edible mushroom, however, requires heat treatment.

Application: delicious in marinated and fried form, great as a side dish for meat dishes.

Spread: coniferous and mixed forests of Europe, Russia, Siberia. Prefers to settle on fallen leaves and needles, growing in groups. The season for picking mushrooms in rows of purple falls on September-late November.
