Adhesive Limacella (Limacella glioderma) and Oil Limacella (Limacella illinita)

Hat (diameter 3-7 cm): brown or slightly reddish, may be grayish in old mushrooms. To the touch mucous and sticky. It has very thin edges, with time it changes the shape of the bell to more open.

Leg (height 3-9 cm): usually hollow, cylindrical in shape, covered with small flakes and flakes. The color is the same as the hat, less whitish.

When growing: from mid-July to early October in temperate European countries, in Russia - in the Moscow and Leningrad regions, in Japan and the Far East, as well as in North America.

Where can I find: in deciduous and coniferous forests. Adhesive Limacella often deeply burrows in fallen leaves.

Eating: although it belongs to edible mushrooms, the properties of sticky limacella are poorly understood, so you should refrain from using it.

Application in traditional medicine: not applicable.

Limacella oil (Limacella illinita)

Category: edible.

Hat (diameter 3-10 cm): usually white, gray or light brown. The young mushroom has the shape of a hemisphere, with time it changes to almost spread out with thin and translucent edges and a weakly pronounced tubercle. To the touch of the limacell, the oil is rather slippery.

Leg (height 3-11cm): cylinder-shaped, a little slippery.

Pulp: white color that does not change at the cut or at break. The aroma of Limacella oil is similar to perfumery.

Records: white or with a faint pink tint.

Doubles: are absent.

When growing: from early August to mid-October in the northern countries of Europe, Asia, North America and Africa.

Where can I find: on soils of all types of forests.

Eating: in dried or fried form.

Application in traditional medicine: not applicable.
