Worms in oils and how to get rid of them

This year, fans of the “silent hunt” are madly happy about the large mushroom crop. However, with such an abundance, things are not so smooth. Sometimes you collect butter in a basket, and suddenly you see that there are worms. What to do in this case: to bring the "booty" home? Is it possible to eat wormworms at all - you ask?

On the territory of Russia, there are about 14 species of oily mushrooms. They all love forest edges and cozy places near the pines. In addition, butterflies grow in large families, sometimes up to hundreds of individuals. After warm rains, these mushrooms appear up to 8 times a year. If you do not rush into the forest, then two days later they age and deteriorate. The cause of such damage is the appearing worms in oils.

Sometimes you can hear: if the worm eats a butterdish, then it is edible. Perhaps this expression should be considered true. However, experts are convincingly asking to avoid wormy oils, so as not to get poisoning.

Why do butterworms become worms?

Some worms live in apples, others in raspberries or strawberries, and some like butterworms. For insects, the best weather is when it is dry, warm and sunny. It was at this time that the buttermen began to deteriorate. However, note that the worms themselves do not make the mushroom poisonous. In fact, the version of poisoning by the “waste products of worms” has no basis.

Many mushroom pickers believe that there is nothing dangerous in worm oils if there are not so many of them. After all, even with industrial oil blanks, damaged less than half are considered suitable for use. But if you pick mushrooms for yourself and your family, it’s better not to take worms. Keep to the good rule of the mushroom picker: less is better, but better. Do not rush to collect all the oil in a row, which are located in one meadow. It is better to protect your crop in a basket from worms. The worms are so voracious that they can quickly destroy all the mushrooms you collect. However, if the mushroom picker followed all safety precautions, and the wormy oysters still got into the basket, what should I do?
