Collection of spruce and pine saffron mushrooms in October

Although mushrooms are not as popular mushrooms as mushrooms, nevertheless, due to their taste and nutrients, they are very much appreciated. For example, saffron milk contains a lot of magnesium, calcium, sodium, phosphorus and sulfur, there is also glucose and glycogen (animal starch). The regular use of such forest products improves vision and metabolism. In these fruiting bodies there is a natural antibiotic, even tuberculosis is treated with it. Many mushroom pickers are interested in whether mushrooms grow in October, because the peak of harvest is usually in September?

In saffron milk there is milky juice, but it does not have bitterness, so they are eaten even in raw form. Especially tasty are the mushrooms growing in October. These fruiting bodies do not require pre-soaking and boiling. They are used for cooking a variety of dishes, as well as preparations for the winter. So, saffron mushrooms can be pickled, salted, fried, dried or frozen.

What do the mushrooms growing in October look like?

There are two main types of camelina, the collection of which takes place in October - spruce and pine. They like to settle in young forests, where there are many pines, firs, cedars and firs. In addition, mushrooms can be found in mixed forests, in the middle of thick grass and moss.

Redheads usually prefer sandy soils; they are also very difficult to confuse with other fruiting bodies. Mushrooms have a very remarkable appearance - a bright orange hat, which is convex at a young age, and in adults it is funnel-shaped, with dark circles that are clearly visible. True, spruce mushrooms are darker in color, with greenish circles on the surface. When cut, the flesh of the fungus secretes milky juice of the same color as the hat.

What do mushrooms growing in October look like and what is their difference from summer fruiting bodies? It is worth noting that the main feature of autumn saffron mushrooms is that their hats have the same shape, but different colors.

If a family of one camelina settled near a spruce, then those mushrooms that grow in the shade will, as a rule, have a brighter shade. Others who settled in the lighted area seem slightly burnt out or shed.

Spruce mushrooms can be harvested in August and almost until the beginning of October. Pine species of these fruit bodies are collected from mid-September until almost the first frost. However, if climatic conditions allow, the time of appearance of camelina change - in a warm climate, they can grow even in November. Only at the first frosts, mushrooms immediately disappear.

Ginger, which grows in October, is a tidbit for worms. If in the morning the mushroom was without a wormhole, then by the evening it might already be eaten out. Therefore, the best option for collecting saffron mushrooms is early morning, when the sun has not yet risen.

Another feature of saffron mushrooms growing in October is a greenish tint after cutting. I must say that such a property can scare mushroom pickers, but it is completely in vain, because even with a little touch, the plates of edible mushrooms turn green.
